Theresa and I have been design peers for a long time! I invited her to a few of my eDesign design Challenges and we hit it off! It was awesome getting to know her. I saw her feed and months later we were talking about branding. I told her my VIP Intensives are a great first step for stronger branding. I love to perfect people's cake recipe (their biz) before adding the frosting (the design). During our consultation it was eye opening at some of the areas that were lacking in her website and social media - with custom feedback and ways to improve. This was super beneficial for her and made creating the graphics that much better. She had a lot of fun doing the homework and our calls had a lot of laughs! She is a different client - because she and I share a love of Photoshop since we both offer 1:1 Photoshop Tutoring and so her logo HAD to be super custom and different! She has more of an architectural focus (doing a lot with CAD drafting and VDA projects). It was a challenge to create something abstract, minimal, and very HER. But I love a challenge and we worked together to refresh her drab and confusing branding to be more professional (and badass)! Her bio is optimized, cover highlights cleaned up, profile pic with a smiling headshot, social media feed is cohesive with "done for you" custom templates in her new branding so she can EASILY and quickly post in a few minutes versus hours (or some of my clients DAYS). This was a huge plus for her since she is so busy with client work she is too exhaustd to come up with social media (like many of my clients). Which is loosing her revenue and potential clients! She now has 2-3 months of professional + branded content ready to be scheduled out. Talk about time saving! I'm so excited to have met her and continue our design friendship! Dede needed EVERYTHING. She ONLY had a logo, but was already working w/ big clients on full remodels. But with family life, little ones + renovations; social media + creating a website was the LAST thing on her mind. After the IG VIP intensive we narrowed down her target audience and created a niche. This made her Signature Branding Kit much stronger with a focus. I refreshed her logo, created beautiful, easy to use + editable custom IG Templates, taking the overwhelm out of posting. Lorraine was overwhelmed w/ tons of projects. Between Airbnb properties she builds + manages, she needed help with her brand. Her website, "not bad in my opinion, but" lacking in a LOT of depth. No target audience + no resonating copy. I suggested changes for stronger messaging + created better client navigation by shifting elements on the site as well as taking the client on a story driven journey. Partnered w/ well known mini brands (I knew w/ my help we could elevate her image to get the attention of bigger publications). Super experienced in her field, but pretty weak social media game. By being more specific on your social media and your website (when you're really honest with yourself) you can reel in more ideal clients instead of scarcity mindset. There is a plethora of any niche out there - trust me. Her love of neutrals and eclectic "use what you have" mixing old and new was the perfect direction for her new business. By now having a target audience, everything in her brand has more clarity. She's able to create packages and her offers specifically for one type of person. She understands them and knows their pain points and what solutions to offer. As I always say, you are not just a designer, you're also their problem solver. They don't want to pay you to create a pretty mood board - they want to pay you to solve their problems. Since Julie has a love of neutrals we worked together to create a color palette that she's super excited about that feels very her while appealing to her audience. Since her name is NEST we redesigned her logo to make the nest a hodgepodge of things since she loves working with what people already have in their home. The gold brings in a lot of elegance to her brand as she wants to appeal to high ticket clients. With the help of my 1:1 she really saw the value of having a branding package because her online presence was very lacking. She now has a cohesive graphic kit to get her up and running. Beautiful and elegant logos that are cohesive with her updated social media, Instagram posts and matching stories, cover highlights, business cards and more! As a graphic designer I'm heavily trained in Adobe software, but I know my clients and my design peers prefer canva. Jamie's content was all over the place. Random memes, lots of different templates and design. There was a lot of chaos + noise which makes it hard for your ideal client to get what you do. Jamie participated in my design challenges and we really hit it off with similar sense of humor. I had been wanting to work with her for so long, but she was hesitant. She even said "I don't understand the need for prettier graphics to get clients." I wasn't offended by this, but intrigued. I wanted to really show her the VALUE of my 1:1 intensive sessions. It's so much more than graphics. We really dug deep into her eye opening moment that she really was all over the board, speaking to too many people, no focus, no target audience, no design style niche... And with the screenshare I was able to audit both her IG + Website for her to understand how people were landing on her content BUT bouncing right away. I'm so glad she reached out and did a VIP Intensive so we could look over both and figure out what was going on. It was easy to see why (and if you do an intensive with me you'll get the full run down). I gave her specific feedback and tailored homework for her. But with her busy schedule and her honesty about "Well I'm not a web designer" I'm so glad she handed off the project to me. I knew exactly what was needed to highlight her inner designer, create resonating copy that speaks to her ideal client and create more dynamic and professional presentation for her work. Also she was lacking a lot of HER on the site so we were able to incorporate more pictures, more personal stories and dynamic layout that keeps the reader engaged. It all came out beautifully with a lot of personality to attract more dream clients and repel the wrong ones.
